At Auto-Tech Fire Systems, we offer top quality sales, service,
repair, installation, and training on all types of fire extinguishers
for business and home. Our certified technicians know what it takes
to keep OSHA and the insurance companies happy, while keeping your
employees, property, and family safe.
"Fire extinguishers
are everywhere, but few people take the time to think about the
importance of regular testing," says Auto-Tech owner, Bob Park.
"If your refrigerator stops working, for example, you have
at least a few hours to get it repaired. If your fire extinguisher
doesn't work when you need it to, its bound to lead to serious loss
of property, or even worse, loss of life."
OSHA FIRE EXTINGUISHER REQUIREMENTS
Here are a few
tips to help you keep your extinguisher in top shape. Call us at
(330) 762-3343 for the best, professional service on any of these:
- Extinguishers
must be tested and serviced once per year by a certified technician.
- Every
six years, your extinguishers must be taken apart and internally
inspected by a certified technician.
- Every
twelve years, your extinguishers must be hydrostatic pressure
tested to insure integrity of the vessel and prevent flaws which
could result in an extinguisher exploding.
- All
employees are required to have awareness level training with practical
application in order to use an extinguisher.
- Fire
extinguishers are not playthings. Even a slight discharge could
result in a pressure leak that will make an extinguisher unusable.
